This equipment is primarily used for the dry separation of fine-grained (-16mm) strongly magnetic minerals. It features a semi-circular magnetic system designed within the drum to create a strong magnetic field. As the material flows through this magnetic area, the magnetic minerals are captured by the powerful magnetic force and adhere to the drum's magnetic surface. When the magnetic minerals reach the lower non-magnetic area, they fall off under their own weight and are discharged at the concentrate outlet. In contrast, non-magnetic minerals or those with low iron content can pass freely through the magnetic field and exit at the tailing's outlet. This separator is ideal for pre-concentration of low-grade iron ore and dry powder minerals, effectively increasing the grade of ore entering the milling process and reducing mineral processing costs.
