The desliming bucket is designed for classification, de-siltation, and concentration processes. Its shape is an inverted cone, with a feed pipe positioned at the center of the liquid surface, with the bottom edge submerged below the liquid level. The slurry is introduced tangentially into the central cylinder, where it is buffered before flowing out from the bottom edge in a radial manner towards the overflow weir. During this process, coarse particles with a settling velocity greater than the upward flow velocity will settle in the hopper and be discharged through the bottom sand discharge outlet, while finer particles will move with the surface slurry into the overflow channel. The feed particle size is generally less than 2 mm, and the classification particle size can be 75 μm or finer. This device is used before hydrocyclones to de-silt raw ore, thereby improving classification efficiency. It is also installed before grinding equipment to concentrate and dewater the ore, increasing the feed concentration to the grinding mill. Additionally, it is utilized before various slurry separation devices to control feed concentration and ore volume.
