The mineral separation process on a shaking table takes place on an inclined surface with riffles. Ore particles are fed from the feed trough on the table, while lateral wash water is supplied from the water trough. The ore particles are subjected to gravity, lateral water flow, and the inertia and friction generated by the table's asymmetric reciprocating motion. These forces cause the particles to stratify based on their density and size, moving longitudinally along the table and laterally across the inclined surface. As a result, particles with different densities and sizes fan out in their respective directions, gradually separating into streams of concentrate, middling, and tailings, discharged from different zones on the concentrate and tailing sides. The 6-S shaking table is widely used for the beneficiation of tungsten, tin, tantalum, niobium, gold, and other rare and precious metals. It can be used for roughing, cleaning, and scavenging operations, suitable for separating coarse sand (2-0.5mm), fine sand (0.5-0.074mm), and slime (-0.074mm). Additionally, it can be used for separating iron, manganese ores, and coal. When processing tungsten and tin ores, the effective recovery size range for the shaking table is 2-0.22mm.
